Woman faces trial for allegedly stalking 98fm DJ Jeremy Dixon

A Dublin woman has appeared in court charged with stalking Jeremy Dixon, a presenter on Dublin radio staion 98fm .

Geraldine Delahunty (41), of Convent Lawns, Kylemore Road, Ballyfermot, appeared before Judge Michael Walsh at Dublin District Court on Thursday. She was remanded on bail to appear again in January.

She faces a single count contrary to section 10 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act for alleged harassment of Mr Dixon between August 4th, 2014, and January 16th last.

Ms Delahunty has not entered a plea to the charge.

Judge Walsh asked if there was any relationship between the defendant and the complainant and was told there was not.

He agreed to grant free legal aid to the defendant who is unemployed. The offence, at district court level, can result in a fine and a sentence of up to twelve months.
