Man took cash from premises in Kilmoganny after threatening cashier with handgun

Witnesses are being sought to a post office robbery in Co Kilkenny yesterday evening.

A man walked into the post office in Kilmoganny at about 5.20pm and threatened a cashier with a handgun before leaving the premises with a quantity of cash.

The lone raider was wearing blue jeans, a hooded top and had his face concealed by a scarf, a Garda spokesman said. He spoke with an Irish accent.

Gardaí are keen to speak to any witnesses who were in the Kilmoganny area between 4.30pm and 5.30pm yesterday.
