Cork leave neighbours in the shade

Cork 0-15 Kerry

Cork 0-15 Kerry

Cork footballers advanced to the Munster final tonight after an inspired 0-15 1-09 victory over neighbours Kerry at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Cork were always in control of this clash and Kerry would have lost by a greater margin but for the heroics of Declan O’Keefe in goal who made some outstanding saves including a second half penalty stop.

Kerry spirits were raised in the second period when Colin Cooper got a hand to a high ball hit into the box and forced it into the net. The men from the Rebel county were not prepared to let the match slip away however and responded with further points to record a deserved victory.
