The organisers of a controversial calendar featuring nude photographs of leading Galway personalities have doubled their print run, even though the contentious picture of a young priest has been withdrawn.
A total of 4,000 copies of the Bare Shakers 2001 calendar will go on sale at £5.99 each on Thursday week to raise funds for research into cancer and cerebral palsy.
The photograph of Father Olan Rynn was withdrawn and an apology from him was read out at Masses in Salthill on Sunday.
