Coast Guard rescues teenager from Howth cliffs

Boy bacame stuck while climbing 50m above the beach

A teenage boy has been rescued by a 15-person team from the Irish Coast Guard after he became stuck on a cliff-edge in north Dublin yesterday evening.

The Irish Coast Guard Cliff Rescue Unit was called to Whitewater Brook, Howth, shortly before 10pm where the boy (16) was stranded some 50 metres above the beach.

The boy, who was uninjured, was recovered and brought to the cliff-top.
