An investigation was under way today after a crash in Yorkshirebetween a coach and a lorry left one person dead and 16 people injured.
The crash happened last night on the A638 in south Elmsall inYorkshire. It involved a lorry thatis foreign-registered and a 52-seater coach.
Thedriver of the coach, which was carrying students from Doncaster College, was killed and the driver of the lorry was seriously injured.
Fifteen passengers on the coach were also hurt and three were detained in Pontefract General Infirmary.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash, or the vehicles' movements in the minutes before, to contact them.
