Six units of Dundalk fire brigade have brought a fire at a pub in Omeath, Co Louth under control.

The fire broke out at the Dublin House pub in the village at approximately 6am this morning.

There are no reports of any injuries.

The Newry to Carlingford road (B79/R173) is closed at Omeath because of the incident. The road is likely to remain closed until midday and motorists are advised to use the M1 instead.
