Charvis keeps captaincy of Wales team

Wales rugby coach Steve Hansen has retained Colin Charvis as captain for the November Tests.

Swansea forward Charvis took over as skipper for the tour to South Africa as regular captain Scott Quinnell absent through injury and - despite his club Swansea's appalling start to the season - he has retained that honour.

Players from Newport and Pontypridd - the in-form teams in Wales at the moment - dominate Hansen's squad for the November games against Fiji, Romania, Canada and New Zealand.

New Zealander-born centre Sonny Parker could be poised to make an impact at international level after fulfilling residency criteria.
