London - Britain's Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine of Lairg, yesterday complained to the Press Complaints Commission over a newspaper story about his 24-year-old son's treatment for drug addiction.

The Mail on Sunday reported that Alastair Irvine has received six months' treatment at two US rehabilitation clinics for using crack cocaine. A spokesman for Lord Irvine said yesterday: "While he does not dispute the facts concerning his son, he disputes the right of any newspaper to disrupt his treatment and recovery in this way."
