Lyon v Celtic
Celtic have not taken a single point on their travels in the Champions League group stages but that was the minimum requirement tonight if they were to book a place in the last 16.
They were boosted by the presence of Bobo Balde in defence after his recovery from a back injury but Alan Thompson was suspended and Didier Agathe and Jackie McNamara were injured.
Johan Mjallby replaced McNamara at the back while John Hartson was drafted in in place of Thompson. That meant in-form Chris Sutton moved back to midfield alongside youngster Liam Miller to accommodate Hartson.
Lyon kept faith with Brazilian striker Giovane Elber, despite his failure to score in his last five games.
