Celebrating Tarantino

Many film buffs had to go to Planet Hollywood for two nights in a row this week

Many film buffs had to go to Planet Hollywood for two nights in a row this week. On Monday night, Trish Long of Buena Vista hosted a Tarantino bash to celebrate the Tarantino season at the IFC and the forthcoming release of Quentin's new film, Jackie Brown. On that night, hordes of party animals joined The Carter Twins to sip Jackie Brown Stinger cocktails and enjoy the familiar film soundtracks.

Niamh McCaul came from Clarence Pictures; Sharon McGarry represented Columbia Tri-Star, while Barbara Murphy of Planet Hollywood oversaw the catering. Also gearing up for the social whirl that is the Dublin Film Festival were Pete Walsh of the IFC; Luke Dodd, head of the Irish Film Archive, and David McLoughlin of Irish Screen.
