CCTV cameras were not operational near the railway station where British teenager Amanda Dowler went missing, police revealed today.

Officers said equipment at Walton station in Surrey was in the process of being fixed.

Amanda Dowler - also known as Milly - was 13 when she vanished while walking home in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, on March 21st.

She visited a railway cafe with friends but was not seen after she left Walton station.
