Athens - Romanian investigators said yesterday a combination of pilot error and technical problems caused a Greek state-executive jet to plunge in mid-air last September, killing the deputy foreign minister, Mr Yiannos Kranidiotis, and six others.

Mr Kranidiotis and his son were among seven people killed when their Falcon 900B dropped about 20,000 feet before the two pilots managed to land it at Bucharest.
