A 12-year-old Co Carlow girl is recovering in hospital today after being shot with a pellet gun.
It is understood she was playing with her eight-year-old cousin when another child fired the gun at them.
The injured girl was hit in the eye and is now being treated at Waterford General Hospital.
Gardaí are investigating the incident.
