Gardaí are appealing for the public’s help in tracing a car that was reported yesterday to have been travelling the wrong way along the M7.

Officers attached to the Garda Traffic Corps are investigating the reported sighting shortly before midday.

Gardaí aired an advisory notice on radio stations warning motorists, who were driving from Dublin to Limerick on the M7, about the car.

They received reports that the vehicle was travelling in the wrong direction on the Nenagh bypass section of the motorway near Moneygall. However, when gardaí patrolled the area there was no sign of the vehicle.
