Donegal full back Paddy Campbell will miss this Sunday's All-Ireland fourth round qualifier against Fermanagh after his appeal against suspension was dismissed.

The Central Appeals Committee heard the appeal last night but upheld the four-week suspension originally imposed, also ruling him out of a possible quarter-final meeting with Cork.

Campbell was handed the suspension after a clash with Enda Muldoon during the Ulster semi-final against Derry in June although a delay in the disciplinary meant he wasn't banned until the start of July.

Raymond Sweeney is now expected to start in place of Campbell in Eniskillen.

Both were red carded during the qualifier defeat against Westmeath earlier this month, a match that ended Sligo's involvement in the championship.
