Call centre service firm announces 60 new jobs

A Cork firm that provides call centre services to high-profile business customers has begun recruiting to fill 60 jobs.

A Cork firm that provides call centre services to high-profile business customers has begun recruiting to fill 60 jobs.

Zevas Communications, with headquarters at Monahan Road, Cork city, is hiring staff to work on its contracts with Airtricity, UPC and other customers. Zevas, which was set up in 2001, provides services including telesales, online sales and debt-collection services.

Director Ronan Murphy said service outsourcing was a major growth area.

“Larger type companies want to keep their capitals costs down so what they tend to do is outsource to companies like us,” he added.

“We can deliver sales, customer service and technical support effectively cheaper than they can do it in-house themselves. We provide full training for everyone that comes in. We bring them up to Fetac level 5 – they learn a very healthy skill set.”

The company has branches in Spain and in the US.
