A wide-ranging agreement between SIPTU and Zoe Developments to introduce comprehensive health and safety welfare measures on all the company's sites has resulted in mass worker protests planned for today being called off. The talks followed the death of James Masterson (24), a construction worker, last week on a site managed by Zoe Developments at Charlotte Quay, Ringsend, Dublin.

SIPTU said yesterday that the company has agreed to introduce radical changes in the management of its sites with immediate effect.
