Some 14 kg of cannabis was seized and a British national was arrested yesterday in Dublin city centre following a joint operation involving the Garda National Drugs Unit and customs officers.
The 57-year-year man was being questioned last night at Store Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, which allows him to be held for up to a week.
He was arrested at 4.20 p.m. yesterday at the Busaras bus depot. He had flown to Ireland earlier, landing at Dublin Airport.
