A 10-year-old boy who bled to death after being attacked after school may have been the victim of bullies in recent days, it emerged yesterday.
The Nigerian-born boy, Damilola Taylor, left a 100-yard trail of blood as he tried to flee his attackers on Monday. He collapsed on a stairwell near his home in Peckham, south London, after suffering what is believed to be a stab wound to his left leg which severed an artery.
Detectives want to trace three boys wearing dark hooded tops and aged between 11 and 15 who were seen nearby.
