The Hague - A Bosnian Serb commander pleaded not guilty before a UN court yesterday to charges that he had directed a sniping, shelling and terror campaign against civilians during the three-year siege of Sarajevo. Retired General Stanislav Galic (56) led the Sarajevo Romanija Corps in 19921994, reporting to Bosnian Serb wartime leader Radovan Karadzic and his military chief Ratko Mladic. Both men, indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia for genocide, remain at large.
Two Russian soldiers on Kosovo were injured yesterday after a landmine exploded under the vehicle in which they were travelling, the Kfor international force said.
