Human remains found in Leitrim were those of an Enniskillen man who went missing 10 months ago, Gardaí said tonight.

Mr Gerry McGinley, 34, was last seen alive on August 13th last year.

But a cross-border search ended following the confirmation by Gardaí that the decomposed body found by two women and a child in woods at Ballinamore, Co Leitrim, on Sunday, was Mr McGinley.

Mr McGinley's wife Claire and two men have already been charged with his murder. All three deny the charges.
