An air-and-sea search for the men resumed this morning. Both men were last seen on rocks near the shore on Sunday evening.

Divers had attempted to enter the water at a cove between Bonmahon and Ballydowane yesterday afternoon but rough seas had hampered the mission.

A third man was recovered from the rocks close to the area where the two missing men were last seen. He was taken to Waterford Airport by the Irish Coast Guard's helicopter and transferred to hospital.

Coastguard vessels from Helvick Head, Dunmore East and Tramore were involved in the search along with a navy rescue helicopter.
