The Minister for Finance has been asked to make special provision for new newspapers in his current review of the Business Expansion Scheme.
The call came from the Fianna Fail spokeswoman, Ms Mary O'Rourke, who said that unless special measures were put in place, the vacuum left by the Irish Press Group would never be filled by new newspaper promoters.
