THE 17th Bangor, Co Down, holiday bridge congress, with a prize fund of £1,200, will be held in the Marine Court Hotel from July 18th to 20th. The mixed pairs will be played on Friday (7.45 p.m.). The major, intermediate, and junior pairs will be over two sessions on Saturday (2.00 p.m.), as will the congress Swiss teams on Sunday (1.15 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.). Open pairs throughout. The Contract Bridge Association of Ireland's application for entry to the home internationals (Camrose Trophy), and associated competitions, will be considered at the British Bridge League's meeting on July 17th. It is expected that it will be accepted, and that future tournaments will consist of five teams.
