British Airways is to reduce its fuel surcharge by as much as a third on long-haul services from tomorrow.

In a statement today BA said the move reflected "the reduction in the price of oil and the airline's fuel hedging policy for 2009/10".

For BA's world traveller (economy) passengers there will be a reduction of £30 per sector to £66. On long-haul flights of less than nine hours (for example to New York) there will be a reduction of £15 per sector to £53.
