London - British Airways last night apologised to passengers who were wrongly told their jet was about to crash into the sea.
Stunned passengers heard the false alarm three hours into the flight from San Francisco, which eventually touched down safely at London Heathrow yesterday.
A pre-recorded emergency announcement was "inadvertently" played, the airline admitted.
