B of I appoints new head of corporate banking

Bank of Ireland has appointed Tom Hayes as its new chief executive of its corporate banking arm.

Bank of Ireland has appointed Tom Hayes as its new chief executive of its corporate banking arm.

Mr Hayes succeeds Richie Boucher who was appointed as chief executive of the bank's retail financial services division following a recent reshuffle of the bank's senior management.

Mr Hayes joined Bank of Ireland corporate banking in 1989 and was appointed as head of leveraged acquisition finance in 2000.

In his most recent role as head of specialised finance, he had responsibility for a portfolio of businesses including Leveraged Acquisition Finance and Burdale Financial Limited, the UK asset-based lending business acquired in January 2005.
