Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger today continued his summer shopping spree when he signed Dutch international Giovanni van Bronckhorst from Rangers.
The 26-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contact and will be unveiled at a 4 p.m. news conference just five days after the Gunners splashed out Stg£8million on striker Francis Jeffers.
"I am delighted to have signed for Arsenal," van Bronckhorst told www.icons.com.
"The fact is that Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in Europe and at this stage of my career it is a step forward." -PA
