Controversial midfielder Lee Bowyer grabbed the headlines again today as he smashed home a last minute winner to give Leeds a 1-0 victory away to Southampton. David O’Leary’s men are now just one point behind leaders Arsenal.

The Highbury side also benefitted from a late winner, when an Ashley Cole header condemned Middlesbrough to a 2-1 defeat. Arsenal are now level on points with Newcastle who lost 2-1 at home to Chelsea.

At the other end of the table, Ipswich pummelled Sunderland 5-0, and Derby nabbed a surprise 1-0 win at Blackburn.

Leicester let a two goal lead slip against 9-man Bolton and in the end had to settle for a point.
