NFL Round-up: After opening with two defeats Joe Kernan's Armagh side have finally recorded their first win of the Allianz NFL Division 1B campaign by defeating Galway by 3-14 to 2-07 at Crossmaglen this afternoon.
Two early goals from Stephen Kernan and Stephen McDonnell helped give the Orchard County a 2-01 without reply. And while the 2005 champions added four more pojnts, the visitors clawed their way back into the match to trail 1-04 to 2-05 at the break.
Armagh added another goal through their skipper Paul McGrane while Michael Meehan netted for Galway but when the home side added eight unanswered points the result was made certain for Kernan's side.
Elsewhere Kerry always had the measure of Fermangh as they went down 1-17 to 0-13 in Killarney. Eoin Brosnan scored the only goal of the game for the hosts. Kerry held a narrow 0-06 to 0-05 lead at half-time
