Gardaí in Cork are appealing to the public for assistance following the discovery of an explosive device under a car yesterday morning.
The device was discovered placed under a car on the Old Youghal road near to the Cow Bar at about 1am yesterday morning.
Gardaí are asking anyone with information about the device to contact them at Mayfield Garda station on 021-4558510.
They are particularly keen to speak to a male caller who made a number of calls to Anglesea Street Garda station's emergency line in the early hours of yesterday morning.
