Vienna - Five people were killed and four injured in a fire in a motorway tunnel in the Austrian Alps after two vehicles collided yesterday, police said.
Fire broke out in the middle of the eight-km Gleinalm tunnel, 25 km north of Graz, on the A9 motorway between Graz and Salzburg. A police spokesman said three adults and two children travelling in one car had been killed. Four people in a second vehicle were injured.
