Racing: Cork All Star, winner of the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival last March, registered a facile success as he made his first appearance over timber in the Winter Festival 2007 Maiden Hurdle at Fairyhouse earlier today.

Jessica Harrington's five-year-old was reunited with his Cheltenham pilot Barry Geraghty and the pair were always travelling well in the two-mile-two-furlong heat.

Sent off at 1-3, Cork All Star readily took over at the penultimate flight of hurdles and measured the last in good style on his way to beating 100-1 chance Inter Mutanda by a ready eight lengths.

Harrington said: "He jumped well and was a bit too brave at times but he will learn. He was always jumping safe and gave the last plenty of height.
