Airtricity will today unveil a €31 million wind farm development in Scotland close to Glasgow.

The 12-turbine wind farm near Ardrossan is expected to supply electricity to around 20,000 homes per year.
When the farm is fully operational it will mitigate over 65,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year or the equivalent to removing 20,000 cars from the road.
Mr Eddie O'Connor, CEO of Airtricity, said: "At this time when oil is at a record price, this project shows how wind can make a contribution quickly to help solve the energy crisis.
"Airtricity have additional projects planned which help us to achieve our goal of becoming the leading green energy provider in Ireland and the UK," he added.
Airtricity was established in 1997 and supplies electricity to over 30,000 commercial customers throughout Ireland.
