A Dublin man, Mr Noel Higgins (29), of Ballyfermot Drive, fell to his death under a DART train at Tara Street when returning from a day out in Bray, Dublin City Coroner's Court heard yesterday.
Mr Niall Higgins said a group of family and friends had gone to Bray on July 11th. They were on the beach for several hours and drank some cider and lager. They took the DART back to Tara Street and as he was going down the steps he heard screams and returned to the platform to find his brother's body on the tracks.
A toxicology report showed a concentration of 291 parts alcohol to 100 of blood in Mr Higgins's system at the time of his death. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
