EIGHT men will appear in court today charged with conspiracy to cause explosions, Scotland Yard said last night. The men, who have addresses in England, Northern Ireland and the Republic, will appear at Belmarsh Magistrates' Court in southeast London this morning charged with conspiracy to cause explosions on or before July 15th last.

The eight men facing charges have been named as Martin Thomas Murphy (38), unemployed, of Kerrykeel Gardens, Belfast; Patrick Hugh Martin (34), unemployed, of Juniper Rise, Twinbrook, Dunmurry, Belfast; Donald Francis Gannon (33), unemployed, of St Joseph's Place, Dublin; Gerald Thomas Hanratty (37), unemployed, of West Road, Dublin; Francis Owen Rafferty (44), unemployed, of Norglen Parade, Andersonstown, Belfast; John Patrick Crawley (39), unemployed, of Grange Manor Avenue, Rathfarnham, Dublin; Robert Eoin Morrow (36), unemployed, of Wolfe Tone Terrace, Dundalk, Co Louth; Clive Peter Brampton (36), a businessman, of Wincanton Croft, Bromford Bridge, Birmingham.
