Sally Dunne says three cheers to Michael Parsonsin our May 31st issue for highlighting problems with strict airport security.

"I was delighted to read your article about airport security. I travelled from Barcelona Airport, in Spain, in April with my two small children, and I could not believe the attitude to passengers.

"They have gone totally over the top. The pram had to be put on the belt to be scanned, and they wanted to take my mother's passport off her.

"They did not want to allow any of us to fly then, because we asked for their badge numbers, in order to make a complaint.

"I don't think I will ever travel there again. We could not believe it. It is nice to know we are not the only ones who find this airport security madness."
