If your thing is running in rain, off road, muck, wet rivers, walls, fields and rock, don’t miss one of Co Clare’s most popular sporting events, The 3rd Clare Burren Marathon Challenge, which takes place next Saturday, May 22nd.

Join former Saw Doctor Johnny Donnelly (pictured) at the starting line and try to keep up as he lopes across Europe’s largest karst landscape, bringing him one step closer to his goal of running 2,000 miles over four years in 43 countries in aid of Sea Change. His latest runs were in the Sahara and Namib deserts. You can also run the Burren for the charity of your choice. See clareburrenmarathonchallenge.com or tel: 087-7779714.
