Mia Farrow hints Sinatra may have fathered her son

Mia Farrow has hinted that the father of her son, Ronan, may be her ex-husband, Frank Sinatra, rather than her former partner, Woody Allen. Rumours about Ronan's paternity were put directly to Farrow by Vanity Fair; she apparently replied "possibly" when asked whether Sinatra had fathered Ronan.

The Rosemary's Baby actor was married to Sinatra from 1966 to 1968. Their relationship continued sporadically afterwards, including during the early years of her relationship with Allen.

A few hours after the story broke, Ronan (25) appeared to express some scepticism, tweeting: “Listen, we’re all possibly Frank Sinatra’s son.”

He does not address the issue in the article – a cover interview focusing on Farrow and her offspring, four of whom are biological and 11 are adopted. Now a human rights lawyer, Ronan was originally named Satchel after baseball player Satchel Paige, who his presumed father was a fan of. He was five at the time of his parents much-publicised split following Allen’s affair with Soon-Yi Previn, who Farrow had adopted with her then-husband Andre Previn.

Sinatra, who died in 1998, would have been 78 at the time of Ronan's conception. A DNA test has apparently not been conducted. – (Guardian service)
