NYC Restaurant Week summer 2018 is in 26th year and reservations can be booked on NYCgo.com. A new prix-fixe lunch offer has been added with a two-course (appetiser and entrée) menu priced at $26 ($22) and the usual a three-course at $42 (€36). More than 380 restaurants are involved. The discount dining programme runs from July 23rd to August 17th.

 Beach retreat in Portugal

Troia, a laid-back beach retreat about an hour from Lisbon, has a number of special events and activities over the summer season. Troia, which is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and Arrábida mountain range, can be reached by a short ferry ride. Activities include exploring the nearby Roman ruins,tasting local specialities at a street food festival, watching classic film favourites at open-air cinema sessions or experiencing the local countryside through a horseback ride.
