THE SOCIAL NETWORK:It’s awards season, and on Wednesday in Dublin the entertainment.iewebsite held a party at The Village venue and nightclub on Wexford Street, Dublin, to announce the winners of its annual Erics awards.

The twins also picked up an Eric for Best Music Act and performed on the night, alongside acts including Delorentos.
The RTÉ weather presenter Jean Byrne won an award for Best TV Personality and was wondering how she would get the rather large Eric into the taxi on the way home. Riyadh Khalaf, who won Bachelor of the Year, had a different kind of car trouble, which caused him to miss the presentation of the award. Wanting to arrive in style, he asked a friend to pick him up in his Bentley, but it broke down en route. Khalaf, who works at Spin 1038, said he was delighted to be named Bachelor of the Year.
Game of Thrones star Jack Gleeson introduced an award with emerging actor Aaron Heffernan. Gleeson is in his third year at Trinity College and will return to filming the HBO series next summer.
