A royal time

Master chocolatier Barry Colenso, who worked with McVities on the chocolate biscuit wedding cake (pictured above) for the marriage of William and Kate, the now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, has spent the past two days working in a controlled climate zone in Clerys department store on O’Connell Street in Dublin, creating a replica of that store’s famous clock in solid chocolate. The 62-centimetre high creation will be unveiled this morning, and will be on display, at the bottom of the store’s main staircase, until December 10th. Shoppers are invited to guess the weight of the clock to be in with a chance of winning a €1,000 shopping voucher.
