The past few years have seen a plethora of borrower’s boutiques opening around the country – shops that will rent you a designer dress for a fraction of the original price. But for those of you who can’t bear the idea of giving that gorgeous gúna back, you can rest easy – Covet in Dublin’s Powerscourt Centre is having a mid-season sale next Saturday, where it will be discounting some of its previous rentals.

A sequined Rachel Gilbert gown, which originally cost €1,850, will be on sale for €195. This royal blue Oscar de la Renta gown is a serious show-stopper – and while it once cost around €4,750, it’s being sold for just €225.

Sizes are limited and demand is great. Our advice? Get in there early, wear something that's easy to change in and out of (a maxi and sandals?) and be prepared for some serious elbowing. The Covet sale is on next Saturday, April 28th, 10am-6pm. See covet.ie.
