NATASHA CORCORAN and Tony Hourigan were married in Knockavilla Church in Dundrum, Co Tipperary, by Fr Jim Egan on St Valentine’s Day. Their reception was held at nearby Kilshane House for 185 guests. The couple met locally five years ago, and became engaged during a holiday in San Francisco and northern California.

Having graduated from University College Dublin with a degree in agricultural science, the bride now works for Teagasc in the Rural Environmental Protection Scheme, encouraging farmers to farm in environmentally friendly ways. Her other passion is dressage – "People describe it as dancing with a horse" – which she practises every day. Indeed, on their return from a week's skiing in Soll, Austria, she will be preparing for the Dressage Ireland finals, to be held in April. "We're going skiing for our honeymoon as we can't stay still," she admits. "We need to be active."

Tony is a farmer and breeds horses. He is one of the youngest of 12 children and his parents, Peter and Stasia, have a dairy farm. Natasha's parents, Tony and Susan, were at the wedding, as were their extended families. The bride has one sister, one step-sister and two step-brothers.

The couple live in Lisheen, Dundrum.
