DUBLIN: The On Ramp from the N4 (Lucan Road) Northbound to the M50 at Palmerstown Interchange will close from Monday August 4th to Saturday August 9th, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., to facilitate construction of second Liffey Valley Bridge. Alternative route is via N7 Red Cow Roundabout and M50 Northbound Carriageway and diversion signs will be in place. However, with continuing works there are some restrictions in place. Southbound traffic can now use the new bridge and northbound traffic will continue to use the old bridge.

Ballybrack Road in Glencullen will close to traffic from August 5th. Closure is for drainage and resurfacing. Local access. Alternative route via Tibradden Road/College Road/ Harolds Grange Road/ Blackglen Road/Enniskerry Road, and vice versa.Works on Finglas Road at entrance to Premier Square residences. Inbound carriageway works daily from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., outbound works between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Friday. Bus lane closed at the same times. Care is needed.

Church Road in Mulhuddart will close between Ladyswell Road/Castlecurragh Estate and Cruiserath Road on Tuesday August 5th, 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. for construction of traffic calming measures. Alternative route via Cruiserath Road, Blanchardstown Road North, Navan Road and part of Church Road.

CORK: Princes Street closed until August 4th. Access will only be maintained for deliveries and is available from Oliver Plunkett Street. Only exit to South Mall via Marlboro Street. R512 (link road between N73 and N8) Kildorrey to Glanworth Road, open to traffic at Rockmills and Glanworth until August 4th. Races in Cork on Monday August 4th, 2.15 p.m. and 5.15 p.m. Expect heavier traffic on Mallow - Killarney Road (N72).

MEATH: Roadworks on N1 at Julianstown, temporary lights.

WEXFORD: One-way system in place in Wexford town. Peter Street, Clifford Street, Bride Street, Davitt Road South, Waterloo Road, Francis Street, Grogan's Road and Carigeen Street all one way. Expect delays. Races in Wexford, Sunday August 3rd, 2.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.

OFFALY: Roadworks on N80 between Portlaoise and Killeigh, temporary traffic lights in place.

CARLOW: Roadworks at junction of the N9/Hanover Junction, Barrack Street/ Kennedy Avenue.

GALWAY: Annual Galway Race festival until August 3rd. Wednesday and Thursday races begin at 1.50 p.m. Friday races at 5.10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday races at 2.15 p.m. Racecourse is in Ballybrit, three miles outside the city centre on the Galway to Tuam Road (N17). Expect e xtra traffic. A section of Ballymoneen Road in Knocknacarra is closed, near Barna Woods.

TIPPERARY: Roadworks on N24 (Cahir - Clonmel Road), about five kilometres east of Cahir town. Traffic lights from 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. (Monday to Friday).

KILDARE: Races in Naas on Bank Holiday Monday, August 4th between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Expect extra delays on the N7.
