DUBLIN: The M1 Northern Motorway from Dublin Airport to the Balbriggan Interchange is open. The motorway stretches for 16.3 kilometres and motorists will save up to 30 minutes on journey times.

Cycle races in Phoenix Park, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., August 19th - following roads closed to vehicular traffic: The Main Road (between Phoenix Junction and Mountjoy Cross), and Survey Road (between its junction with the Main Road and its junction with the Furze, Upper Glen and Knockmaroon Roads).

Traffic diverted or halted: Phoenix Junction, Mountjoy Junction and the junction of Survey Road, Upper Glen Road, Furze Road and Knockmaroon Road.

Until July 26th, the existing Westlink Bridge is closed and traffic diverted over the new bridge.

Hansfield Road is closed until Friday July 25th, between Ongar Park and Ravenswood Estate. The alternative route is available via part of Hansfield Road and the New distributor Road is via Ongar Chase/Ongar Park. The Baldoyle Road andWarrenhouse Road closed to traffic from Friday July 11th to Sunday July 13th, for track renewal works. Alternative route via Strand Road and Station Road.

LOUTH: The Drogheda Bypass is open. Interchanges are at Gormanstown, Duleek Road, Donore Road, Mell and Monasterboice. Drivers exercise caution at the entry ramps, especially at Gormanstown at the southern end of the bypass, and at Monasterboice at the northern end.

The Bypass is tolled, with the toll plaza located seven kilometres south of Drogheda town. Charges are €0.80 for motorbikes, €1.50 for cars, €2.70 for buses, coaches and light commercial vans, €3.80 for HGVs, or €4.90 for HGVs with more than four axles.

CORK: Restrictions on Sullivans Quay - traffic one lane. A section of footpath by riverside has been closed.

GALWAY: Major roadworks are under way until further notice on the N84 (Headfort Road) between Carrowbrowne & Cloonboo. Long delays expected, especially at peak times. Motorists are advised to take an alternative route.

Also in the Galway area, major roadworks on the N6 at Oatfield between Aughrim & Cappataggle, and works continue as well on the Dublin Road in Galway city. Traffic's down to one lane each way at the Bon Secours Hospital, and delays can be expected, as this is a major route into the city.

KILDARE: Road between Ballymore Eustace and Brannockstown closed at Ardinore, traffic to divert.

LIMERICK: Roadworks on Dooradoyle Road between Roundabouts at Crescent Shopping Centre, each day between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Roadworks resumed on Rosbrien Road, expect a few delays.

ROSCOMMON: N5 closed between Strokestown and Tulsk, traffic to divert via Four Mile House.

OFFALY: Roadworks on N80 between Portlaoise and Killeigh, temporary traffic lights, drivers can expect delays.

CARLOW: Roadworks at junction of N9/Hanover Junction, Barrack Street/ Kennedy Avenue.

Roadworks will also be in place at Paupish Lane and Angler's Walk junction and alongside New Oak Estate to Staplestown Road. There may be delays for local traffic.
