Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
On Sunday, March 5th, Blackthorn Rd closed from 7.30am to 6pm, from junction with Blackthorn Drive to junction with Bracken Court, for works associated with Beacon Court Development.
Alternative route via Burton Hall Rd, Blackthorn Ave and Blackthorn Drive (for westbound traffic) and Blackthorn Drive and Blackthorn Ave (for eastbound traffic).
WEXFORD:
Until at least March 6th, a section of N30 (Enniscorthy to New Ross road) closed from Enniscorthy to Ballymacksey Bridge for essential roadworks. Diversions in operation. HGVs should choose alternative route.
OFFALY:
Until at least April 20th, road widening and overlay works on N52 between Tullamore and Kilcormac. Single lane traffic (traffic lights), delays expected.
GALWAY:
Until March 13th, delays on N59 at Moycullen for major road works. Detour in operation at various times during the works.
CORK:
Until March 21st delays likely on Kylemore Road from 9.30am to 5pm.
Shandon Street closed inbound until June 30th, for Shandon Street Urban Renewal Scheme.
Until Friday, March 3rd, a section of the Clogheen Road is closed. Closure adjacent to the Village Green, Blarney from junction with R617 to bridge over the River Martin. Travelling from Tower, use the relief road.
If travelling from Clogheen use the Hedge road to intersection of link road and Maxol station, then turn left for Blarney village or travel on the relief road to Tower. This is to complete storm water pipeline construction as part of the Blarney R617 Resurfacing & Improvements Work.
KERRY:
Expect delays on the Conor Pass Road, for major road works. Use N86 between Dingle and Camp via Annascaul.
LIMERICK:
Until Friday, April 14th, Rockbarton Road will be closed daily between Meanus and Holycross.
Closure from Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, for installation of a new water main, part of the Lough Gur Group Water Supply Scheme.
Thomas Street permanently closed from O'Connell Street to Little William Street and Augustinian Lane to all vehicular traffic.
Traffic is unable to enter Thomas Street from O'Connell Street and traffic on upper Thomas Street and Catherine Street is now unable to travel towards O'Connell Street. Also, traffic flow on Little William Street (the road which joins Thomas Street to William Street) is reversed. Parking on the portion of Thomas Street between O'Connell Street and Little William Street and Augustinian Lane is prohibited.
Closures and traffic flow alterations are for ongoing construction of city centre pedestrianisation scheme.
