Until 10 p.m. on January 24th the junction of the Belgard Road and Embankment Road in Tallaght is partially closed. No turn for traffic from the Belgard Road on to the Embankment Road, or from the Embankment Road on to the Belgard Road. Motorists cannot drive through the junction in either direction. Divert via Cookstown Estate Road, the Old Belgard Road, and Cookstown Road. Junction closes to traffic from 10 p.m. on Fridays to 6 a.m. on Mondays. No through traffic on the Belgard Road through the junction or on Embankment Road at this junction on January 24th to January 27th, January 31st to February 3rd, February 7th to February 10th, and February 14th to February 17th. Local traffic along the Belgard Road can divert via Cookstown Estate Road, Old Belgard Road, and Cookstown Road to the Belgard Road. Traffic for the M50 diverts via the Naas Road (N7) or Tallaght bypass (N81).

Dunville Avenue and Beechwood Road in Ranelagh are closed until the end of January. Pedestrian access only.

George's Hill and Station Street in Balbriggan are closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic till February 25th. Access to part of George's Hill and part of Station Road is via Mill Street, Drogheda Street, Railway Street and Station Road. George's Hill is now one-way. As George's Hill is closed at the junction with Station Road, George's Hill is now two-way west of the junction with Station Road. Mill Street is one-way, west to east. It is proposed to make Mill Street one-way, east to west to form part of the one-way system of Quay Street, Harbour Road, Quay Road and Mill Street.

Cork: Works on St Patrick's Street resumed. Southbound traffic diverts on to the new section of the street on the Roches Stores side. Northbound traffic uses the existing route. Traffic will be one-way from February. Works last until April.

Carlow: Detour on the N81 south of Tullow (from Bunclody to Tullow in an area known locally as Ardristan or Ellengrove). Inbound traffic diverts along the County Road till the Forge junction at Castlemore and then right for Tullow. Outbound N81 traffic isn't diverted. Expect delays until at least January 28th.

Kilkenny: Race meeting at Gowran Park in Kilkenny tomorrow. Expect extra volumes on the (N9).

Clare: Contra flow on the southbound carriageway of the N18 between Clonmoney and Drumline. No entry to Hurlers Cross off the N18. Access only from the link road to Shannon.

Kildare: Racing in Naas on Saturday from 1.15 p.m. to 4.15 p.m. Racecourse is off the N7 Naas dual carriageway. Bus Éireann service from Dublin. Buses depart 90 minutes before the meeting and return to Dublin immediately after it finishes. Tickets cost €12 return - book at Busáras or the Bus Éireann ticket desk in the Dublin Bus office at 59 Upper O'Connell Street.
