Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: A 7.5 tonne weight restriction on bridge at Saggart/Rathcoole Interchange on the Naas Rd, after damage to steel decking.
Ballymun Rd from the school to Santry Lane one lane in both directions for development work.
Lane restrictions on Newtownpark Avenue from Granville Rd to N11 junction, for bus lane, cycle track and improved pedestrian facilities.
The New Wyckham Bypass extension from Sandyford Rd to Taney Rd has opened. Road crosses Sandyford Rd at Riverdale Apts and takes traffic over to Taney Rd.
KILDARE: New Monasterevin Bypass on N7 will ease congestion, and reduce commuter time on N7 to Limerick and Cork from Dublin.
Roadworks in Naas on Dublin Rd, Fishery lane and Maudlins Interchange. Traffic management for works in connection with N7 road widening and Interchange Scheme.
Works in Kill Village: in connection with N7 road widening and Interchange Scheme.
LAOIS: Works on median safety barrier on Portlaoise bypass (M7), from southbound edge of new Heath Mayfield motorway to end of Portlaoise bypass. Overtaking lane closed.
Roadworks on N80 on Main St in Stradbally. Expect delays.
CORK: South Douglas Rd closed daily outbound between Curragh Rd and Capwell Rd, from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. each day.
Delays on Anglesea St from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Expect delays.
SLIGO: Temporary diversion on the inbound and outbound routes to Carraroe roundabout for work on Sligo Inner Relief Road. Temporary route a realignment of existing carriageway outlined by cones.
College Rd closed for work on the Inner Relief Rd. Section from Gallows Hill to Summerhill College a cul-de-sac. Temporary access to St Joseph's Hospital, Garden Hill via Nazareth House driveway.
Roadworks for a left-slip-lane at N15/N16 Junction at Duck St. Expect delays.
GALWAY: Section of Portumna to Ballinasloe road (R355) closed at Boula for replacement of the Mill River Bridge, from junction with St Bridgets Rd, Portumna to junction with Liffey Mills Rd. Alternative routes: Traffic from north (Ballinasloe) uses Banagher-Killimor road. Traffic from south (Portumna) uses N65 Portumna-Killimor road. Local access.
LOUTH: Old Dundalk-Ardee Rd (N52) closed for construction of Dundalk Western By-Pass, from 1.25km southwest of junction with Kockbridge Rd southwest for a distance of 300m in Carnanbregagh townland. Local access. Heynestown Rd (CR165) in townlands of Gibstown and Killally closed for 1km from junction with Old Ardee Rd and N1 Southern link Rd. Alternative route to Dundalk is N52, N1 Southern Link Rd to Carrolls Junction, Dublin Rd, Hill St, Dundalk.
TIPPERARY: Roadworks on the R445 Limerick Rd out of Nenagh between Careys Glass & the Springfort Cross Junction. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and temporary traffic lights will be in operation. Please use alternative routes into and out of Nenagh town. Works will last for at least another five weeks.
